AI and Machine Learning Foundations

3 units No prerequisites Counts toward AI Literacy

What this course is

Your starting point. You’ll learn what AI and machine learning actually are, and aren’t, and where they already show up in business, marketing, education, and healthcare. You’ll trace how the field got here, sort the different kinds of AI from one another, and get a working grasp of how machines learn from data.

Then you’ll get hands-on with AI-powered tools and learn to judge them: what they’re good at, where they fail, and what responsible use looks like in a real workplace. By the end you can make a defensible call about whether a tool belongs in a process, and use it well when it does.
